    Keeping my eye on this from SR That will cripple the M8 and M80 and probably leave some under a fair amount of snow.

    Incredible stuff - if even half that comes off - we're going to be looking a widespread chaos tomorrow. I've opted for the working from home tomorrow and Thursday - there is no way I'm going to attempt the drive to Glasgow.

    "Communities might be cut off for several days" Amber updated for Wed and now Thurs. edit - up to 40cm of snow in the Amber area. Holy Moly.

    Watching the weather on BBC this morning and I can't help thinking they're downplaying it a little - a fleeting mention of Ambers and some cursory mention of depths on Wednesday.

    Can anyone remember back to 2010 - didn't we get a Red warning on the Monday morning? I think that's what sparked me to leave work early before the worst of the snow hit.
