  1. Keeping my eye on this from SR That will cripple the M8 and M80 and probably leave some under a fair amount of snow.
  2. Incredible stuff - if even half that comes off - we're going to be looking a widespread chaos tomorrow. I've opted for the working from home tomorrow and Thursday - there is no way I'm going to attempt the drive to Glasgow.
  3. They've been on the fax chart since Sat night/Sunday. And, who said Stirling's in the firing line? Clearly doesn't know Stirling has the most technologically advanced snow shield in the country.
  4. The snow today, isn't the "main event" - that'll come overnight and all day tomorrow and probably Thursday.
  5. Need the wind to swing round otherwise the Ochils will swallow up all the snow....
  6. My other post was hidden (!) I'm G usually, however I answer to most things
  7. "Communities might be cut off for several days" Amber updated for Wed and now Thurs. edit - up to 40cm of snow in the Amber area. Holy Moly.
  8. Half a foot of snow (nearly) - that'll keep the kids happy * Thanks @Hawesy * me, actually.
  9. Watching the weather on BBC this morning and I can't help thinking they're downplaying it a little - a fleeting mention of Ambers and some cursory mention of depths on Wednesday.
  10. @Hawesy“s predictions are going to be great. ill give him a +/- variance allowance of 5cm either side
  11. I was born in a field according to my mother when I was growing up
  12. Stirling dropped 3C in the space of 40mins with an easterly starting to kick in...
  13. If that verifies as the MR is showing, we may see red for the central belt on Thursday - that's an epic forecast.
  14. Yellow now for Thursday. This week is going to be epic, I just hope everyone stays safe.
  15. Can anyone remember back to 2010 - didn't we get a Red warning on the Monday morning? I think that's what sparked me to leave work early before the worst of the snow hit.
