Here in Wolverhampton we have blue skies and a hint of breeze. Temperature already at 20C before 10AM.

Good afternoon everyone and I am pleased to be a member of the Midlands forum. Good to get a local perspective on weather events that effect our region.
No dramatic heat as yet here in Wolverhampton but should the high cloud disperse then I can imagine the mercury rising with an uncomfortable amounts of humidity.
The breakdown on Wednesday, how does that pan out? With a bang or a fizzle?

I think the best bet is to keep an eye on real time radar to see where storms are located and developing to have a realistic chance of pin pointing convective activity. As we are all aware thunderstorms by their nature can be very (and frustratingly) localised. But half the fun is the predicting of them I suppose :-)

A little rain this afternoon with a few rumbles of thunder. Plenty of nice convective clouds about showing up nicely against clear blue sky. Whilst this convection looked promising it was a good distance off and with not much wind generally stayed at a distance. Radar demonstrated this well as cells generally built and decayed in the same location. Cooler now as CF has moved through. Thats it now until the next "heat wave".

What a beautiful cat. Rest in the knowledge you gave him a happy and long life, looking at the pic he was a character.
I've had a few cats, they've come and gone. I have two cats now and they have helped me through some hard times, divorce, eviction.
When the time is right maybe consider another mog, plenty out there looking for a loving home.
And I appreciate the sentiment of enjoying your pets whilst they are with you. It's so true.
You take care of yourself and keep posting that weather content.
