  1. Yeah, Bananas and Ginger are going to be a bit pricey this year! The rain was helpful for everything else I guess.
  2. Does look quite dark in your direction. Just had some vague mammatus cloud go over too.
  3. Brief storm sometime between midnight and 0200 came overhead with one very close strike. Also a house in Cardiff was struck and caught fire about midnight. We're not even safe indoors
  4. Peaked at ~21C in the breezy workshop today with all windows and doors open, humidity touched ~40% R/H, sucking the wood towards an equilibrium moisture content around 8%. Outside (hey, the winky smiley has gone!) prolly a touch warmer and drier, without the concrete walls heat sink. Shame I can't do that in the winter!
  5. Showers now venturing inland in the most south/west parts of the rolfaroo. Will the instability deliver?
  6. Fog all morning has only just cleared. Stayed foggy all day on Monday; lighthouse keepers must be loving it.
  7. Press play, quickly press pause when it turns to an arrow 'play' symbol and allow the 'bar' to progress enough until you think that it can play the entire thing seamlessly (this quantity of time is likely longer than you think it is - but eventually you will get it). By the way, now is the time to gather blackberries.
  8. Around 9C, though was 8C at some point earlier it says. Â A light, steady wind from about North. Â It's the sort of summer weather that could reduce a grown man into a gibbering wreck. Â Lit the stove this evening and yesterday. Â
  9. Shurly shome mishtake?Just ten miles south of Lampeter at 02.00 it's 11-12C at 90% rh.
  10. As I understand it, he was trying to save the souls of 5 adventurous teenagers and their dog who were sailing in an inflatable and rather cheap rubber duck near the Forty Mile Ground, in inclement conditions - when he was swallowed by a giant fish! Unfortunately Talk Talk (the only internet service provider worth a hoot for the Shetland Islands region, so I hear) is unable to guarantee a reasonable wireless service through 6 inches of blubber to the popular meteorological website they call Metweather.
  11. How do you mean? Is this thing better than the small one on the met office website? Does it detect mizzle? What about mog? I'm looking for a high resolution mog and mizzle detector solution. Cost isn't a factor, I just need it , like yesterday
  12. So long as Terminal Moraine, Osbourne One Nil, Stratos Ferric, Osmposm and ACBrixton (to name a few big joy posters) regularly keep posting here - It's all good.
