Does anyone know how the front is doing compared to predicted? Looks like its moving slightly NE?

Bbc weather said possibility of some snow showers in the south tonight, depending how far the front gets. If we can't get the full front for snow then hopefully it can edge just far enough nothing so we can get some good snow showers and a couple of cms, fingers crossed!

Surprisingly its snowing lightly here in Barry atm Its only like dandruff but nice to see all the same!

Had a high of 1.1c in Barry but spent most the day around 0.1-0.3c which is impressive being a big town on the coast, still 0.1c now, not sure it will drop much here. No frost here overnight though thanks to a light breeze.

Bbc just forecast 10C and rain for Sunday, I think we can be fairly sure it will warm up given all seem to be pointing that way. Just a shame haven't had my snow fix this spell and it looks unlikely lol

We can hope the GFS has got this right above all the others somehow and it tracks further north over us, giving a good few inches. It is my Christmas wish

I think we must have had snow in Barry last night when I was sleeping but it just didn't stick as to warm being on the coast, as soon as i drove out of Barry all the way down to Cowbridge there is snow on the ground. Takes a miricle to get snow in Barry lol.

Currently wet and 0.9c, just rain showerrs here. I like the cold and snow but not the cold and wet. Hope it stays dry here now unless it snows, the rain can stay away lol.

Temp and DP rising as cloud cover comes over fairly quickly, all above 0c now so any showers will likely be icy rain I think.

Yes seems to be, don't think the coast will see anything other than sleet tonight tbh Fingers crossed! If we are going to warm up a bit next week then atleast give some frontal snow and a few inches first lol

Anyone think there is any chance the front could maybe still move 100miles or so north o Tuesday to bring us in the South into play!

Getting some heavy rain and hail/sleet showers now on and off

We currently have ice pellets falling here, bit to warm for any snow this low down. My weather station in Barry is reading 2.2c Just turned to rain now, falling on a frozen surface. Would need some heavy precip to get snow I think. Bit underwhelming this atm for snow close to the coast.

Had some rain or sleet presuming thismorning as the ground is wet (it wasn't at 5am when i woke and looked outside, im in Cowbridge atm for work) shame it didn't manage to fall as snow or stick if it did, which makes me concerned for low costal areas in any showers today/tonight. Its all ice out there now tho which is fun

Just need it it to edge slight further north so we can get snow for longer lol we can pray

Seen on Meto forecast there is a risk of showers tomorrow afternoon through to the night as the wind veers more NW/W but he says sleet with the chance of snow to low levels and snow over higher ground. Hope we do get some good showers/streamer and get some snow!

Ohh really? I've missed that somewhere, is it showers or a little fromt/feature? Meto forecast showing light snow for around 2am in Cowbridge where I'll be working from today until tomorrow afternoon.

Low of -3 overnight, lovely hard frost everywhere. Not looking great in terms of snow at the moment for these parts over the next week before a possible (hopefully temporary) breakdown which would be disappointing.

I do hope we get some frontal snowfall at some point, as it's looking less likely next week now, so we can get our snow fix and this cold spell doesn't go by without giving us the goods lol

Had a low of -0.2c and currently 1.8c so much warmer than the -2c forecast, I think because we had more cloud cover overnight.

Temp dropped to 0.4c back up to 0.7c. That's a good chart for us as long as it goes no further

Its 4.9c here after a hight of 5.4c, which is what was predicted for here. This is my main worry being on the coast is that the daytime temps will be too high for any precip over the next week to fall as snow and would need it to come after dark, if we do get any.

I don't think we will start to get a better idea on the placement of the low until atleast Sunday, mods just playing with to many different possible solutions ATM. I think most would see snow even if transient from the low, should it not go south and miss us completely. Still even a chance tomorrow I think of a fair few in Wales getting a few flakes, bar maybe us on the South Coast, they still keep changing where that little feature will be and the amount of precip with it. I think this could be the best winter in terms of snow potential for us since 2018, which is the last time I saw anything more that 1cm

Liking the look of that ^^ though would prefer it to stay further south to keep us in the heaviest precip and remove marginality from the coast and keep the cold in longer after
