Well looking at the out look for next week this Summer is very much like having Haemorrhoids, just when you think its settled down and your living life so much better and feeling comfortable it flares up again and is a pain in the ****. Could be pushing the mid to high 20's again, sick to the back teeth with this now. By far one of the worst summers for decades.
Not only that its the lack of storms (apart from the usual areas) thats taking the ....... Lots of heat , but not really widespread storms to go with it

It's also quite warm. Inside temps still warm.
What is it about the Irish sea ? , its a storm killer for the populated mainland of the NW , but storms will actually form over the water itself , then always push into non populated areas of North Lancs , South east cumbia, seen this many many times , Areas like South Lancs, Manchester etc never seem to be in their track

Apart from a few very distant flashes out west at around 11.00 pm another big thundery fail, yet again, and was totally expected from me , as is mostly the case thesedays
I suppose seeing a handful of very distant flashes at dusk is about as good as it gets , I should count myself lucky I saw those

Really suffering now , headaches , dizzy and desperately wanting to feel cool and comfortable
I HATE this heat , and to make things worse my buyers have pulled out of house sale , so I cant proceed to buy the house i want to move to , on which I had an offer accepted , the seller will probably go with someone alse now , although i do hope he may wiiat untiil i find another buyer , but not hopeful

Northern Ireland seem to get more storms than mainland Northern England thesedays , and the temps are cooler there generally in summer, May consider moving

Hang in there folks , this time tomorrow should be notably cooler for quite a few of us , but the heat still lingering in the south like a bad fart , until its gone there too in another day or two, were are nearly there to live normally again

Last day of the horrible heat, at least we are not facing another full working week of torture, just one more night of going to bed in the oven

not expecting any tstorms here , they are just so hard to materialise thesedays , temps like this at the surface a decade or two ago would have set them off without much fuss , whats changed . warmer air aloft ? give up trying to find answers, but something is changing

If future summers are going to throw up regular spells of temps in the mid to high 30 everytime we get the azores high ridging in then it will become my season of dread , to think , a few years ago summer was my favourite season
Roll on autumn , please let this be the last hot spell , completely had enough

This weather is just purgatory , still 3 days of energy sapping, uncomfortable vile temps . Its just depressing working in it

gutted there were no storms , as usual they are in the north sea and south east england , it nearly august and i have observed no lightning at all this year , thats a first , and there has only been one weak storm with a couple of crackles , worst year ever for thunder , unless august makes up, doubt that very much
at least its cooled down

still 29c here at 21.30, not happy , another horrible night for sleeping, I hope tomorrow is much cooler , its only been two days of these insane temps , but it seems like an eternity , was really hoping this late evening would cool to low twenties , not happening , stubbornly sticking to 30/29c cant wait for september when the chance of silly high temps reduces a lot

Same here , but we keep saying next time , but time and time again in the last few years after a hot spell , widespread storms are a failure ,if there are any at all , Whats changed ?
The 70's 80's 90's and even the period after 2000 storms were far more likely after a hot spell it seemed , not quite so much now

very unlikely, you may have marginally better chance being closer the the peaks , but still highly unlikely

There have only been two days with thunder here in 2022 , and they were only a couple of distant rumbles on each occasion, plus several distant flashes over the Irish sea last week , and thats it , very poor
