I blame that cold atlantic spoiling summer again , we better get used to it, and its ironic global warming is to blame
Seattle and Vancouver have had more or less constant warmer than average summers over the past 15 years. Seems like they've been the hottest place in the US relative to average in recent years. UK is opposite - consistently cool in recent years.

Research on the cold blob in the Atlantic
Vancouver's average in summer since 1981 is cooler than London's- Seattle's very slightly warmer. Annual rainfall in Vancouver is around double London's. It does appear that the summers are very sunny though.
