  1. You would expect, without coming across as entitled I hope, that with this heat and humidity, there would be some huge breakdown/reset. Very quiet on here I guess symptomatic of not much action forecast off the experts/charts... Maybe things happen when you least expect it in life
  2. We are escaping the dregs of Hurricane Agatha bringing a foot of rain to the keys, thankfully minimal lightning at MIA
  3. Completely surrounded by storms in John Pennekamp Coral State Park, Key Largo
  4. Portsdown is insane, at least 4 storm systems in view of around 120 degree f.o.v, Inc the Bournemouth ones
  5. I am 2 mins walk from the beach in Southsea....tempted to go up the hill
  6. So....it doesn't "feel" like it did the other night here in Southsea,pompey..., you could really sense it Sun night.....humidity/skies/the stillness.... it feels like an average cloudy evening here, yep I can see this being a midnight Kent Clipper too...unless I am missing something
  7. Hopefully that's a decent panaroma, my log burner flue that's a southerly direction
  8. Cannot hear anything yet though...however, you can hear the stillness, if you know what I mean. You can tell something's "up"
  9. View from my roof terrace, Southsea ..very still...spinakker tower just on the r h s
  10. Bins in the road people. I say again. Bins in the road. That was pretty cool. That's going straight to London
  11. All of that activity, I guess must be super slow in moving, if it's scheduled for the wee small hours? Feels/looks like it could be by the afternoon!
  12. Getting a sense/vibe on here and on the TV forecasts, that this isn't set to go bang this week after this heat? Is that right, seemed unusual that's all? Usually there's a lot of discussion on here.
  13. BBC had a second wave of stuff (technical term) for Hamps/Dorst, 3-5 am?
  14. Do you prefer it when you are right in the path of it all, or would you prefer to view it from a distance? I prefer the latter t.b.h...esp if you could view something like this.. One of my own, taken from Selsey (what you could do with a Kent Clipper) Storm over NW London, from the I.O.W (Not Mine! I WISH!! : all credit to Island Visions Photography)
  15. It's very cloudy/cruddy here in Pompey...I rem that not being a good thing, but , it's in the lap of the storm gods
  16. I don't think we have even had rain in Portsmouth!!, Missing out on everything 4 days straight. Need to do this properly in so far as what they do in the states and properly chase hundreds of miles across state lines.
  17. Was out on Southsea Common last few hours, not one flash mate
  18. and getting them at the right time of day, 10pm onwards, not too late. I'll take a daytime storm, but it's at night you get the buzz..
