The rain just keeps on coming. It’s like being force fed a meal that you absolutely loathe..but the worst of it is that you have to endure it day after seemingly never ending day.
Yellow warning my Arsenal. No snow, and most certainly no ice. Just lots and lots of water!

You suck. Do one. Get lost.

Snows on the coast but rains miles inland. Couldn’t make it up.

Reading the reports of snow in the Midlands thread, then seeing the reports of rain or sleet in this one, including in my neck of the woods...what is going on? Is it the Irish Sea? Dew points? Why are places in the Midlands getting snow yet places in the North West including those of reasonable elevation get rain or sleet? The final slap in the face after a dire and wretched winter. Roll on Spring and some dry weather.
Good riddance winter 2019/20 - you won’t be missed.

I give up.
K’off.

Lights on in the house now...dark enough skies to almost make me expect an imminent rumble of thunder. Crazy.

Nothing falling yet but a thundery looking sky approaching from the west/north west.

Not sticking at all up here in Upper Gornal either. But it's the best snowfall this winter so far. Which is comparable to picking out the best poo in the cat litter box. But hey...it's snow, I'll take it!
Post of the day...close the thread

Plenty of snow showers to be seen over Kinder and Bleaklow, surprisingly Buxton is still snow-free for today when I popped over there along the A6 earlier on.
Words than once upon a time you’d never imagine you’d hear in the winter months....Buxton and snow-free.

Be ready it’s not going to make any difference to the weather we get.
long wet spring looks a good bet to me unfortunately but it is what it is
If that’s true then May can’t come quickly enough. Getting off this soggy horrid island for good and crossing the pond.

Don't worry everyone, as soon as the cold uppers come in the Irish sea will switch off. Still yet to see falling snow imby but surface flooding is a concern - I'm ready for high pressure personally.
You’re ready..I’m ready..everybody should be now after the last few poxy months. Anyone who isn’t..well...there’s a nice rubber room waiting for you and a jacket which fits nicely round the back!

METO text now mentioning snow showers to lower levels through tomorrow...
Euro4 out in a couple of hours
Meh...can’t bring myself to care or feel any sense of enthusiasm about that. Looking out of the window at all the water left behind by the relentless rain kills it stone dead.

Did we have ant snow last night anyone around me? I set my alarm for 4am but just snoozed it haha
Nope. Lots more unwanted rain though.

I think my brother in Syracuse, New York is getting fed up of my sending letters to him with little pieces of mud inside them.
I keep enclosing a note with the message ‘dear brother...here is another piece of mud...when you have enough..stand on it and have a holiday in sunny Britain without paying for airfare”!!

Hard to believe people are talking about snow when temperatures are between 12 and 14c.

Very windy (surprise..surprise) but also very mild. Currently 13c at Hawarden and Liverpool with dew points at 9-10c -

I forsee a 2007 type summer. Southerly tracking jet with numerous LPs tracking across or just to the south of UK/IRL. Thunder plentiful though in very unstable airmasses.
I and everyone else in flooded areas sincerely hope that you are wrong!

This ‘winter’ can go do one.
Nothing can redeem it now. Nothing. I don’t give a flying fig if it snows in the next couple of days, it would never settle given that everywhere is completely saturated or flooded. It goes in the bin along with It’s ugly sister 2013/14 as the poorest winter I’ve ever known. Relentless rain and wind. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Severe flood warning in place at Shrewsbury. Wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if further severe flood warnings are issued given the amount of rain that has fallen overnight, and which continues to fall in sensitive areas.
-
Couldn’t care less about snow anymore as far as this season goes.
Yet more rain overnight, everywhere flooded. Only concern now is when this crudfest finally ends and we can finally start to dry out.
