    From the album: Aerial images

A good place for a bit of drone action as there are no close neighbours and it is somewhat elevated on a low hill. The main ruin is the gatehouse, only a cellar-like undercroft remains inside. The gatehouse was partly rebuilt at some point and was used as a farmhouse and barn. The site is privately owned and not kept secure so there has been some minor vandalism e.g. graffiti which is sad - however a greater long term danger is water penetration and movement in the foundation causing serious cracks in the masonry. To the rear it looks like a wall has been used as target practice but a long time ago - it could have been musket balls.

Mountain biking above Aviemore - great run down from here, but seriously hard work on the way up - especially on a downhill mountain bike!

Situated at the confluence of the Tresillian and Truro Rivers. During the heyday of mining it was quite an important little port

Another cracking Autumn morning yesterday so I took another obligatory photo of the above at the confluence of the Truro and Tresillian Rivers. The Inn closed it's doors in 1852 but the ferryman was still active until quite recently
