  3. We have X Class Flare M1.0 at least, in progress !! from sunspot number 1692 which is Earth directed..Please note that the SDO spacecraft is currently being eclipsed by Earth and images are unavailable at this time. http://solarham.net/ Also... CME IMPACT: As expected, a coronal mass ejection (CME) hit Earth's magnetic field on March 15th at approximately 0500 UT. The impact was weak, but conditions for geomagnetic storming could develop as Earth passes through the wake of the CME. High latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras. http://www.spaceweather.com/

  7. It was the second half of last March that was really warm. Anyone have any idea what CET we would need for the remainder of March for the Annual CET to be below 9C? Is that even realistic?

  10. Did anybody else see the Channel 4 documentary earlier in the week? I watched it this afternoon and the footage of both the fireball and boom are astounding. However while most of the science seems sound and extremely interesting, I got annoyed in the final part where the discussion went to creation/dinosaur extinction rather than the whole programme focussing on this once in 100 year occurence.
