This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. Few dry hours mid morning. Been underneath or just on the edge of that stream going through the region, odd brief bright spell but had showers on and off, typical April weather. Really, really want May to shine.
  3. A light shower in the middle of the day giving 0.1 mm otherwise dry with sunny intervals
  4. It's looking fair for the London Marathon on Sunday, but feeling a bit cool for spectators until the sun appears. Mostly dry this weekend, but chilly by night. Read the full update here
  5. Flying spits and warm sun today, Now a streamer from the NNW with heavy pulses of proper rain is here and ended outdoor work
  6. No surprise that in a period where a dry spell is measured in hours, a dry sunny morning was spoilt by an afternoon of alternating brightness and heavy showers. even the dry days have ended up being wet and after several days of northerly’s which would usually give nothing but gin clear skies this far inland, we have ended up with deluge after deluge. I’m not going down the road of who is to blame for climate change and whether it’s even man made but if this is what global warming is going to give us then I need to find my receipt and see if I have been miss sold something. anyway I just about managed to cut a length of skirting board outside between showers so it could be worse.
  7. cheese I know what you mean haha. For me personally, I take any warm and sunny days by this point in the year, regardless of what's to follow. A spell of 20-25c and sunny and dry, followed by some frigid spring days, like central Europe has had, is preferable to me than another 10 days of 10-12/13c, mostly overcast and on-and-off rainy conditions that we're having instead, as it's basically just a continuation of what we've had for months and months. It's super boring! But it'd definitely be a shock to the system to go from 25c to 5c overnight lol. Madness.
  8. Sunny Sheffield down to 9.7C +1.8C above normal. Rainfall 66.4mm 118.4% of the monthly average.
  9. A day of sunny spells and showers. Rather mild Max temp 13C now 11.6C, Barometer 1019mb rising slowly, Wind F2 NNE, Rainfall 1.6mm
  10. We'll probably flip flop between extremes in the years ahead. We've had our extremely wet period, we'll likely soon enter an extremely dry period again.
  11. Today
  12. In Absence of True Seasons I’m not sure if that’s better or worse though - to have a spell of nice, warm weather for a week, then suddenly it’s single digit maximums again like January. It’s basically like the weather saying ‘spring here is here - just kidding it’s winter again’. Seriously though, it’s been very wet and dull for most of western and Northern Europe since July last year.
  13. Afternoon, a little warmer this morning than yesterday I think we had a shower at lunchtime but never noticed it being wet until I went outside.
  14. Turned into a quite passable afternoon, dry and bright and no precipitation ... so far.
  15. Weather Enthusiast91 Yep, definitely with you on that. I don't really mind it cool (it's all relative!), but the sunshine makes a big difference. It feels as though the weather is slowly, very slowly, improving...
  16. Mapantz That sounds nasty. Fortunately not in your eye! Mixed day today. Sunny spells and cold in the wind Will be glad when we can get more than one day wind free.
  17. I was travelling from lowestoft to Peterborough via the A47 corridor so e very heavy showers and gusts winds today.
  18. On the way back from Respite I had saw a cluster of clouds forming. Like it is trying to become a multicell thunderstorm.
