  3. Yesterday
  4. I ain't religious but I'm gonna be praying pretty hard
  5. Floatylight Where lol? Certainly not Essex…
  6. raz.org.rain That’s a deal I can’t turn down!
  7. Mike Poole you would think with the strong polar vortex that the weather would be better, obviously not and i think we have had a major fallout with our SSW that ended earlier this month. It'll be to do with the zonal winds I reckon from this day forward on whatever the weather does.
  8. raz.org.rain get stuck in a trough of a 5 wave pattern and we’d likely need dinghy to travel by come September.
  9. B87 Not in my location! I got 2 weeks in June. I was under all the cloud from the East and once that went I was under all hte cloud from the West that came in. As I'm in the middle I was harsly hit by both
  10. *Stormforce~beka* May and June were at least sunny last year.
  11. Don As you can see, temperature wise it was nothing special, but saw 263 hours of sun and 16.6mm rain over 3 days. August 1997 was actually duller than average. We had to wait until 2022 to get an August as sunny as 1998, a long time to wait! Summer 2020 is another that would not be considered good, although late July to mid August were fantastic. In the end, it was a dull and wet summer.
  12. lassie23 Felt like it yesterday, combined with the wind, but at least it was bright and sunny!
  13. B87 I suppose with August 1998 coming so soon after 1995 and with the previous August being the 2nd hottest on record, perhaps I'm not giving it as much credit it deserves?!
  14. raz.org.rain That would be the least we deserve after what we've had since July 2023.
  15. it's flogging colder now than it was in February lol
  16. Christmas day 11c max ,7 min Sat 20th April forecasted at 3c max , -1 min Still chopping kindling...
  17. SunnyG If so, it's arrived too late!
  18. August 1998 wasn't anything out of the ordinary really, better than June and July, but not outstanding. Spring 2018 obviously wasn't great overall for warm seekers, but nor was it awful either with a few days of near record breaking heat in April and May was pretty exceptional all the way.
  19. lassie23 At this point, to be honest, I’d take thee humidity.
  20. Don Spring 2018 was 33% good and 67% bad. March in particular was absolutely dreadful, very cold and exceptionally wet and dull. April was also extremely dull with the majority of days quite poor. Only May delivered. August 1998 was dry and very sunny, but nobody would consider 1998 to be a good summer after the absolute shambles of June and July.
  21. B87 For variety, spring 2018 was excellent with something for both cold and heat lovers. However, even for those who dislike cold, May made up for at least some of what March and April lacked. It seems to me that some are only focusing on poor periods during seasons, i.e. June and September last year seemingly ignored? I don't know of many cold seekers who claim winter 2010/11 was awful because following that brutal December, January 2011 was unremarkable and February very mild? Cold and snow was largely done for that winter after Boxing Day, but what occurred previously made it memorable!
  22. Can't wait until flaming June and a week of temps in the 30s Hopefully without that disgusting dire sickening horrid disgraceful humidity though. 33c by day 9c at night ......perfect
