MR CB 85 Posted July 19, 2007 This already well developed Cumulonimbus was the culprit for the events in Hastings and Fairlight on the evening of 15/07/2007 (7.50pm) - it would develop further as it moved up along the Sussex and Kent coastline. Became a probable supercell - topping at 43,000ft. Taken as it approached from the west off Beachy Head. Link to comment
Guest Posted July 20, 2007 hi guys just joined i drove through the tornado in hastings on sunday night oh my god it was the scary thing i have ever done the back end of my car was coming off the road i have dents in my roof from the hail stones and the car got struck by lightning as me and my partner were coming through bexhill we looked and i said to him that it looked like the funnel of a tornado was forming he laughed as we got closer to hastings we were plunged in to darkness the thunder was horrific and the lightning was hitting the road as we got the end of bexhill raod we were hit with the wind and rain and hail everyone was pulling over the rain was to heavy for the wipers we turned up filsham and it was there that we struck the car died we got it started and pulled over tried to use our mobiles no signals no nothing then it was over qiute quickly we got to my mums and told her what had happned and she saw the state of my new car oh my god it was so kewl Link to comment
