How beautiful.  After a life time of riding horses I gave up recently due to back issues.  I used to love pottering about on them in the snow.

They are beautiful. Those pictures take me back to days of mucking out at the stables, and getting ready for and then heading off to shows. I've never been riding in the snow though!

The last time I rode in the snow, I was a teenager. Icouldnt resist getting on my 4yr old baby quarter horse and have a canter up a snowy field... heaven.

Thanks Tamara. Its been a long time since I rode a horse in the snow. I spent 20years of my adulthood bringing children up... I have suceeded in persuading at least one of my daughters to be as horse mad as me.

That's the way it should be - and you and her can have fun together about horsey things as Mum and daughter should!

yes, it was many years ago for me also on my chestnut gelding, Charlie Brown.  My boyfriend at the time would come with me walking his dog around the common.  Used to have a warm blanket over Charlie's quarters, which I sat on and and then wrapped back around my knees......health and safety would have something to say these days though no doubt!
