Summer 2018 (May-August) Updated
Summer 2018 was certainly a memorable one for me, technically starting in late April with a heat snap which seen temperatures soar into the high 20s, followed by a heatwave on the early May bank holiday weekend and another at the end of May, including a bunch of storms! June was a very dry month with very minimum rainfall and plenty of sunshine, and July was similar, I was away in Paris at the end of July and we had some spectacular thunderstorms around the 27th/28th when the heat broke down for a few days. August started off dry and sunny when I got back but things declined as we headed into mid-month (typical)!

Other Landscapes Updated
I do mainly landscapes in and around the North York Moors because I live there, but some of these are from further afield - and not so much weather related.

Blakey may be a dialect-ish version of 'Bleak'.
A cold windswept spot in any season, the chief hardship is the wind, which is practically unceasing.
The distant ridge is the Howardian Hills in the vicinity of Castle Howard.

The snowman looks rather lonely on his own. I have never every managed to make a snowman as there has never been enough snow fallen in Thurrock. The snowman looks very well built.
