Huggeeeeeeee!

Roo

Saw the health visitor again yesterday, and it turns out my attempts to become Daisy the Milch Cow have not been in vain, as little scrapper has managed to put on 9 1/2 oz!!!! :D:D

Well at least we know her weight is OK.

The hernia keeps coming up, and I can't wait for the referral just to check that all is OK.

Oh and the little darling now has colic, so guess how much sleep we're not getting.....

What's colic Roo? It's one of those kiddie illnesses I've heard of - but have no idea what it is.You'll probably get half way through a reply and doze off!! :D

short answer is they haven't got a clue what causes it...

but the result is that you get a very grumpy baby who cries at the slightest thing, tends to be windy and pukey, pulls their knees up all the time, and is generally a grumpy little so and so.....text book definition is a baby who cries for more than 3 hours per day, for more than 3 days.....

Oh, and it tends to be associated with nighttime too, which makes it even more fun....

Luckily there are things you can give you to help, although I'm not convinced about how useful they really are...yawwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnn

But the good news is they grow out of it at about 3 months, so that means I've only got another 2 months to go....

......................................TWO WHOLE BLEEDING MONTHS......OMG!!!!

COLIC  :wallbash:

Nasty business :nonono: Be thankful that boys tend to get it worse than girls. Little fella used to cry all afternoon but help is available. Buy some stuff called Infacol (sp) It sort of helps all the bubbles in the baby's tummy make a big bubble, then they can burp and hey presto - happy baby

Just don't stop using it straight away thinking everything is sorted, you have to keep using it for a little while ;)
