Bugger!

Since my last blog entry, where everything was perfect (I knew I shouldn't have stopped worrying about everything!), we received some worrying news. My Granddad has been diagnosed with tumours on his Liver and lower spine. Doctors seem to think they can control the growths with Radiotherapy, although not sure if they can get rid of them all together. We should know more once he has had a liver biopsy and has spoken to his Radiotherapy Consultant.

I am still positive at the moment that he will be OK. Granddad is taking it in his usual stride - announcing that 'if the treatment doesn't work, i've had a good innings' Bless him. He is 84 next month, and he might think he's had a good innings, but we all want him to be around still to receive his 100 year telegram from the Queen! (or King!)

I saw Granddad last night (after the NHS cancelled his Liver Biopsy) and I am genuinely shocked at how much he has deteriated in the past month to 6 weeks. He has lost weight, can't walk properly and his skin has a yellow tinge to it. I think he's giving up to be honest.
