Got a phone call from a friend last night to find out her dad had died :blink: He was a lovely bloke and a wonderful dad and grandad who will be much missed by all his family, especially his wife of 48 years The sad bit was she was saying how a bloke had gone to pick up his grandson from her son's school and the her son said "look it's grandad" unfortunately it wasn't :angry: It got me thinking that my son doesn't have any grandads at all, although one got to see him when he was 3 weeks old :o Losing a parent, no matter what you age is something you just can't describe. It feels like a big hole is left in your life.

Awww thanks Sue :)

It's been over 10 years since my dad died but it brings it all back to me hearing about my friends dad.

It also upsets me to think he never saw his grandson, who he would have been so proud of.

But he is always in my thoughts and I will tell my son what a wonderful person he was
