Well, we hired a car this weekend to go and check out some houses....saw 6 and all were wrong for one reason or another!But, as we had the car, we decided to treat ourselves to a day out in the country and went to the RSPB reserve at Sandy.....What a lovely place....beautiful gardens, a long walk thjrough heathland, woods and across an abandoned quarry (big sandstone cliffs with what appeared to be sand marten holes....will haev to go back there to have a look later in the year!).Saw a greater spotted woodpecker sitting ona feed post, and a coal tit busily collecting moss for his nest....Gorgeous sunshine all day, and the birds were in full chorus!Magnificent, and well worth a visit if you fancy a nice day out!
