Ice Cream Vans

Why is it that in the age of polyphonic ring tones on mobile do Ice cream vans still have that awful plinky plonky music, I find it quite demonic and scary (too much Chitty Chitty Bang Bang)I've finally had enough of the orange dining room and decided to attack it (well it's Easter and DIY is traditional activity at Easter) Hubbie has red/green colour blindness and decided to paint it when I was 8 months pregnant. He knows things are a certain colour just not quite how much of a colour they are, hence it is very ORANGE :) It's always a talking point if people come round "it's very errr.....Orange" :) Milo helped me until I got paint on his hair and he decided it wasn't as much fun as the teletubbies. The weather has been very disappointing, grey and wet so not much chance to get out in the garden and I've noticed the weeds are thriving in the rain :) I'm currently waiting for the chicken to cook, we were going to have it yesterday but went to visit relatives and took longer than expected. It's a bit of a rarity for us to have a roast but it's a nice every now and then. It's been nice to have a long weekend and enjoy some time with the family and relatives, pity it's over quicker than wished for and it's back to work tomorrow :) Oh well, maybe there may be some thunderstorms soon to cheer me up :)

LOL Katie, is it the Monty Python theme?

think yourself lucky, when I moved out to my village I heard what I thought was an Ice-cream van, being a hot day I thought I'd poddle out and get one, Imagine my disappointment when I found out it was actually the mobile butcher!!! Just what the veggie ordered!

So what colour have you gone for? My lounge was orange once but it did my head in, now it's a lovely shade of cream, very minimalist, relaxing, peaceful etc. ok I admit it it's not cream it's Magnolia, but it's a creamy magnolia :D

It's going to be Hunny Bee on the top and Spanish Urn on the bottom. I hope they don't argue with each other as one is Dulux amd the other is Crown

My mum moved into my first house before I was born, it was a Edwardian terrace house (v nice but freezing) she was 8 months pregnant but insisted on decorating the front room. Why? because it had purple skirting boards and doors and Parrakets (sp) climbing up bamboo wallpaper - don't you just love the 70's
