Well, its been an age since I last updated my blog. Well since Easter. Which feels like ages ago. Anyway, im waffling. Waffle, waffle.

Not a lot really been happening. I was on the possible redundancy list with the NHS recently, which was a worrying time. However, during my interview, personality questionaire (with 230 questions -why? I was applying for a job I have done for the past 9 years) and a 2 hour test, they finally concluded I am capable of doing the job I currently do. Thanks for 2 months of worry (dont worry, no NHS money was wasted during this exercise). Anyway, to be honest, im not happy where I am working, and am looking more into secretarial work. Ive got the qualifications - just need to start applying. (Waffle, waffle)

Mini Raven is doing OK. Learning more and more stuff at school. I swear we never learnt half the amount of stuff she does when I was in reception class! Infact, the only thing I learned was how NOT to cut your own fringe in the play house corner. Oh dear. Still, blamed it on my friend, so got away with that one. (waffle, waffle)

My sister is planning on getting married (finally) in 2008/09. She has been with her other half the same amount of time as me and Mr Raven. (too long) However, she has decided she would like to get married on a cruise ship. So if I start saving now, I should have enough without having to get a bank loan. (oh, no waffle, Mr Westwood, English teacher, would be proud)

Umm. Thats about all the exciting news I have. I do hope you are awake still.

(and by the probably lack of replies, I will assume your not, or get a complex I am even more boring than I imagined! )

I got phoned by the A4C people today

They have booked a slot in a weeks time to A4C me :unsure: It's never been done because I went on Maternity leave, which is totally wrong. The woman said "we don't have to do it if you don't want to" I replied that I need to have it done to get another job in the NHS but the reality is that if my job is graded higher than I was paid, I am due back pay <_<

I have also asked to be considered for redundancy, mainly cos it makes things easier to get a new job down in Devon. Glad to hear after your grilling that things are going to be OK :)

AfC was OK for managers, not so much for A&C staff. So if you were graded SMP or Senior Cadre, you should have gained out of the AfC. (fingers crossed!)

Thanks Katie. I am grateful to have a job. 10 people got made redundant, 3 people kept their jobs.... Still, thats what happens when the NHS becomes a business.
