Tonight I went out to get basic provisions, fruit, milk and wine So I bought a punnet of peaches, a bag of apples and some bananas. I picked some bananas that didn't look too ripe and looked into the box. There was a strange green/yellow coloured object next to some bananas. I looked a bit more closely and realised it was a dead frog. It looked quite fancy, green, black and yellow. I mentioned to the checkout guy that he might want to remove this frog and they went and recovered it and what it
Ok well I think I should come clean and finally admit to being the latest addition to the Net Weather Baby Boom Certain people have known for a while and have been fantastic at respecting my wish to keep it quiet until after the first 12 weeks dodgy period Having done this once before I thought it would be a breeze but I forgot just how tired you get. It's harder work when you already have a little one to look after.I also forgot just how loopy you go when you are pregnant. I introduced myse
Just got back from a break at Centerparcs, Longleat.
Never been before but it was brilliant. We took our bikes and hired a trailer for Princess Tbags, who loved being in it, she was like lady muck being ferried about
We were lucky with the weather as it kept dry and quiet sunny. Me and Mr Loo snuck out one night (MIL was babysitting) and went swimming in the dark. It was pretty scary going down the flumes in the dark but the rapids were fun if a bit chilly.
Me and MIL had a Three steps to
Well I had a my Gall Bladder out on Wednesday. Apparently it's the thing that causes problems when you are fat and fourty. I would like to point out that I am neither :nonono:The operation was ok but my breathing and heart rate got a bit too low and they couldn't wake me up so had to give me adrenalin to bring me round. That and the anethetic in my blood has meant my head's been a bit all over the place the last few days (some would hardly notice the difference ) I've got four very fetching hol
Well what a busy time I've had since my last entry
MiniLoo has arrive but yet to be given an official name. We are deliberating two different ones but have to decide which is to be the first and second name
Most of the time she is very quiet but she has some moments of mega shreaks Girls seem very different to boys and I don't remember little fella being quite so scary
She has mild jaundice but nothing to worry about, apart from a slight dodgy looking tan
We were brave today and go
Much as I like people coming to view our house (and hopefully buy it) I hate having to tidy up Hubbie reckons it's loads better than any houses we have viewed in the past and that's before I tidy up but I just want it to sell
Today was a 2nd viewing and, finger's crossed, they both seemed to like it (Wife came round by herself 1st time)
Other than cleaning the house, I don't feel I've done very much in the last week or so
Went to Gloucester on Saturday. I've been briefly a mon
After a stressful few weeks, we have managed to get another buyer for the house
They have a small chain, so hopefully it shouldn't be too painful this time The bonus is that their offer is higher than the previous people, so we will have a bit more money to play with B)
Yesterday we went to see the house that, hopefully, we are buying
The last 2 times we saw it was when it was being rented out and what a state but yesterday it had been professionally cleaned and looked fab It need a bit of redecoration (bright pink/red walls ) but still has the Edwardian character
The best bit about it is that it's 15 mins walk from the sea and I can see the sea from my bedroom window
We went down to the front and spent 30mins dodging waves Little fella w
Escaping Cheltenham tomorrow
Off down to Devon to check out various possible locations to move to. It's strange yet again as I have never been to the area before (except the other week before hubbie accepted the job)
Princess Tilly has given me a very hard weekend but I hope we are turning the corner now and the future is full of smiles
Oh and Religion according to a 4 year old (no offence to anyone who is religious)
"what are you doing Milo?"
"I'm trying to do a cross on you
Today I bought Mr Loo some Sunflowers................he was a bit unsure as to how to accept the gift
I just wanted to bring a bit of sunshine into his life
Having been shamed by a recent story of weight loss by a fellow NW member and seeing how good he looked for it, made me think I need to trim up a bit So this weekend I bought a rowing machine. As Mr Loo said "the best thing in a gym is a rowing machine as it exercises so many different muscle groups" So far so good, I have discovered a tempo mode, which means I have to keep to the beeps as I watch telly
Well hello 2009, I hope that it starts a more settled time dispite the current financial climate.
The last two/three years have been a bit up in the air with moving/having Princess Tbags/contracting. I hope that my new job can allow me to progress but with the ability to keep a work/life balance which has been missing for a while
I don't do New Year's resolutions as they are usually broken on the first day but will try to be more sociable and improve my baking skills
I'm hoping that the
Feeling a bit sorry for myself today. I had to leave work early yesterday with a splitting headache and feeling dizzy (nothing new there)I got hardly any sleep and am really tired today. I decided to take the day off and catch up on a bit of sleep.I've been sorting out little fellas toys and old clothes in the last few days pending a car boot sale in the next few weeks to declutter the house. It's scary to see how much stuff we have accumulated, I have not bought a lot of toys but still they app
Mr Loo is usually in charge at work but tonight he had to deal with Mrs Loo and the packing frenzy. I was on par with Gordon Ramsay ordering him to write yet another gift tag
Blimey, been a while since I posted
Well since New Year I have hugged more people and kept sort of incontact
We are having a few foreign students to stay (one at a time) , it helps pay the bills and the kids love finding out about different countries.
My hayfever is a nightmare at the mo, with my eyes really suffering this year
Looking forward to going camping at the end of May and then some weekends during the summer
Been pretty busy the last few weeks trying to sort out little fella's bedroom after the builder fixed his wall. It was damaged by a roof leak last year and was long overdue for sorting out. This meant we had to remove the wallpaper in the rest of the room. Doubt it had been touched since 1905 when it was built, so we had wallpaper archeology discovering layer after layer of "interesting" wallpaper We had a grand re-opening tonight, complete with cutting the [s]ribbon[/s] toilet paper into his r
Today we had to escape the house for 2 viewings (both by the same people ) so off we went to Tesco to top up the Milk stocks etc.
Bought little fella some vitamin tablets (his eating habits at the mo leave a little to be desired ) and he shook them around the store happy as Larry.
At the checkout I chose a chap who looked really bored. To be fair he was very nice.....a bit too nice He was very nice but then I realised that he could infact be my son, which made me quite depressed
Any
I found out tonight that my grandma, who was 99 last friday, passed away last night
My dad's mother, she was soooooo lovely. A spirited woman but always had time for people
I saw her just over a week ago when she saw Tilly-Bea for the first time. She was over the moon but still made a fuss of Milo to make sure he did not feel left out
I'm sad I will not see her again but know that to be half the person she was would be a fantastic achievement
A toast - To my grandma, the most
Well I've managed to get Thursday and Friday off this week, so nice long weekend Unfortunately little fella has come down with a bug, resulting in me having to go and collect him at lunchtime. He had a temperature of 102F, so off to bed. He woke up, bouncing about and we went for a little walk. Later he flopped on the sofa, watching TV (very unlike him) and then demanded to go to bed at 6pm  When I took his temperature it had shot up to 104F :o I've been lucky, as he has rarely been i
I was very naughty today and bought Princess Tilly a dress and little pink tights
I know babies should wear babygrows for the first few months but she needs one dress for special occasions <_< The dress is far too big, even though it's a 0-3 months and the tights look like Nora Battie's
We are going up North to see my Grandma, who had a bad fall last week and is in a lot of pain and I thought we would cheer her up  She loves Milo to bits and I just know she will fall
We were brave and went to Bristol on Monday in search of Ikea, baby stuff and flat screen TVs
I was pleasantly supprised that Ikea was virtually empty We bought a bit of stuff, shelves etc.
We also bought some bits for Merv, change mat etc but have yet to buy a cot (can't decided between a cot and cotbed) but not to worry as Merv will sleep in the carrycot bit of the pram for the first few weeks.
Then went to look at the "bargins" in the twinkling metropolis of Currys/Comet etc. We have b
Today has been a bit of a sad birthday, for the first time ever I have had no pressies to open
Got some Next vouchers from mum-in-law but nothing else
Hubbie is out of the country but promises to buy me an ipod in Duty free for my birthday
The good thing was that little people have been very well behaved today and were both in bed for 6.30pm  Tilly Bea even smiled and gurgled for me
Piccies are of Tilly smiling (sort of <_< ) and hubbie's flowers
Well I can officially spill the beans and say that we are moving house (hence all the work done on the house recently)Hubbie's company is moving to Gloucestershire, so we are all uping sticks and going "darn sarf" (although I don't think they have that accent down there)I've lived in North Yorkshire all my life so it's going to be a big change. I don't think we will see as much snow down there I've only ever been to Gloucestershire once when I was 13 so it's a bit difficult trying to work out
Well this morning I said goodbye to my last remaining baby tooth For some reason my second tooth never came through and I've been hanging onto this one as long as possible but alas it has been condemed and removed this morning *sniff*
The dentist was impressed that I managed to keep it for so long. I have it in a "Fairy tooth" envelope the dentist gave me and shall see what the tooth fairy brings tonight. Personally I think it should be worth more as it is rarer but Mr Loo reckons it's worth
