Weather Station

Someone has sent me a few photos of a council owned weather station near me. The data isn't publicly available so once I've finished all this coursework, I'll pop into to the enviroment department at Burnley Borough Council and persuade them to ask the IT department to sort something out after finding out which organisation is using it as all I've found out is that its for the weather conditions on Burnley's roads.Anyway here are the photo's for your perusal.

Theory Test

I had to make a trip to Preston Town Centre today to do my theory test for the DSA. I found a polite traffic warden which surprised me, but Preston town, sorry city centre doesn't live up to its title of Britains newest city!Anyway I passed the test first time getting 34/35 for the theory and 55/75.I was told I'd failed as an April Fools though, an there's me thinking all these DSA people lived in caves and couldn't have a laugh.

Weeks Weather

Interesting past week's weather.I spotted a large funnel cloud on Wednesday then contemplated staying up all night to see if the South West thunderstorms would reach up here, I don't know why because they never do in summer. They get quite nasty as well and are only small and because there covering such a small area they're u

Plymouth

Visited Plymouth Uni yesterday, lots of new buildings and lots of building work, the attractions were nice though. I'm a big Weymouth fan so the hoe and the harbour were big plus points. I've just got to make my mind up now.I see everyone is so interested in these blogs that I've had lots of comments .Still a bit of snow on the tops here, havn't had a good snowfall shower for a while now although we'll see this weekend. After that, Spring must surely be here which means only one thing - Rain!H

Reading Uni And Illness

Went to Reading Uni to have a look around on Thursday, nice place. Wasn't feeling to well though. The Meteorology building looked well equipped and newly furnished.Ended up in hospital yesterday not feeling to well. My pulse was quite high and was dehydrated after stomach problems and vomitting. After getting the OK from a blood sample and a bag of saline solution later, I was feeling a lot better and managed to log on here and check the weather for the first time since Wednesday.

Lilly Savage

Today was the day christened Christmas by Burnley FC fans across the world. We were to take on Blackburn Rovers on home soil. Roads were closed, police everywhere and a few aeroplanes with banners attached.I had butterflies in my stomach all morning and was only made worse when a plane flew over with the words "Up the Clarets" attached. The game started, very scrappy, Blackburn (apologies for swearing), started well to the annoyance of the Burnley faithful, tackles flying everywhere and Lilly Sav
