There will be rain around for Friday, but the weekend is looking okay but still cool.
For just a few schools this is the final weekend of the summer holidays. Already this week there has been a slight nip in the air, especially first thing.
This weekend (Sept 4-6th) stays on the cool side thanks to NW winds but will be mostly fine and dry
Friday’s showers and rain will fade, taking a bit of time on Saturday morning in the south. So maybe a slow start at Lords for the one Day International but the weather should be fine for the International Rugby Union in the afternoon as England play Ireland. Rather cool as Wales play Italy at teatime. After the early southern rain, there will be settled conditions and sunny spells which will feel warm out of the NW breeze. Southeast Britain might see 17 or 18C but in the north and west of UK only 13 to 15C.
Sunday is very similar but lighter winds for Wales and SW England. Mostly dry, bright, some sunshine and temperatures still low
As the great Dorset Steam Fair continues the weather is behaving and staying fine. There will be some great weather for the Tour of Britain next week; this was the Milk Race years ago. The start on Sunday from Anglesey should have lighter winds than on Saturday as high pressure gets nearer, still cool but dry. Check out the route, think I’ll go and watch them whizz past as it comes near me mid week. http://www.tourofbritain.co.uk/home.php
