Temperatures this week will dive off this weekend. England and Wales hold onto some warmth for the end of the working week with temperatures still well above average (see figures).

Scotland and Northern Ireland are already transitioning into cooler air but will enter the colder air behind a cold front moving south on Friday morning. Temperatures will fall away during the day, although Aberdeen is still forecast to still manage 15C ahead of the front in the strong S winds.

The figures at the weekend show a colder picture in the north and a cooler feel to things in the south, a noticeable change for everyone by the end of Saturday. If you are out and about on Saturday evening in southern Britain, it will feel colder by then, be warned

Parts of the UK are in for some wet and windy weather from this cold front see the Netweather Weather Watch for details.
