Tennis - Queen's this week, heating up

Queen's Club in West Kensington is hosting the Aegon Championships this week. Weather is looking super for tennis over the next few days, but will it hold for the finals at the weekend?

Tennis - Queen's this week, heating up

Issued: 10th June 2014 10:31

After the humid and uncomfortable start to the week it is going to feel fresher but still warm.
High pressure is building over southern England and that means settled, fine and dry weather, ideal for playing and watching tennis.

So there shouldn't be any problems with interruptions to play. Temperatures are rising this week, up to 26C by Thursday and Friday, that's nearly 80F. Strong sunshine and only light winds, which do last into the weekend. However, it won't be as hot for Saturday and Sunday, which may suit. The wind will turn more northerly as the high fades, so it still looks dry, with more cloud. Still warm but not as hot!
