Warm weekend anyone? No shorts allowed

Feel I should be whispering, that the weekend looks like being warm and dry (sorry NW Scotland that doesn't include you, still rain here, but mild on Saturday).

Strictly it is Mild, rather Mild and very mild at this time of year, but I don't think I'm going too Daily Express/Mail by saying warm. The Met.Office have criteria for +3C above average etc being a type of mild, and warm & hot only being used in summer. Scorchio not being recognised as an official met. term. And it isn't going to be scorchio, don't let's get carried away, and that means the fashion experiments that are bound to evolve this weekend, as temperatures peak over 15C for SE Britain. Put the shorts back in the cupboard, the loft preferably. Not til May says the proverb. There will still be a chill in the air out of the sun, with nippy nights.

However, there will be some Spring warmth on the way. On Saturday throughout the UK, although with brisk S winds. N.Ireland and N.England up to 13C, and the far north of Scotland to the lee of the mountains. SE Britian perhaps seeing 15 or 16C. Coastal areas will feel cooler with the breeze as sea surface temperatures are currently only between 9 and 6C

By Sunday, there could be more cloud and some rain for N.Ireland and W.Scotland so temperatures here will be back to normal at 7 or 8C. However, for much of England and Wales with some sunshine, many up to 15C and again the SE could be higher at 17C (63F). The March average is 11.6C for London and we are only at the start of the month so you could assume lower than that.
Enjoy, but take your jumper!
