BBQ's This Weekend, Brollies Next Week
The summer like autumn weather continues into this weekend for much of the country - with just the north and west missing out on what will be another opportunity to get the BBQ's out.
As we've seen in recent days, it's western Scotland and also northwest England which are struggling to see the sunshine this morning, there are some outbreaks of rain about as well - although these will become more patchy and light at the day wears on.
For the rest of the country, decent sunny spells should develop and temperatures will respond with highs up into the high-teens or low-twenties for everyone - and that warming trend continues into the weekend too. Saturday will bring highs of 25-27c in southern and eastern regions with many parts of England, Wales and the eastern half of Scotland squeezing up into the twenties. For the western of Scotland and northwest England - it's cloudier once again but barring the odd drizzly patch it should be mainly dry and respectably warm with the high teens on the cards.
Sunday does bring the start of a change to cooler, wetter weather though with rain moving across Ireland and into Scotland from the west during the day - there could even be the odd shower arriving into western Wales and NW England during the late afternoon too. Elsewhere it's a case of as you were with temperatures of 26-28c in central and eastern England.
By Monday everywhere is cooler with some rain to be seen - running down from the northwest of the country with showers also developing. It'll be windy too with gales possible in coastal regions of Scotland - particularly the north.
That then sets the scene right into midweek with more blustery showers and/or longer spells of rain moving through at times. Beyond midweek high pressure is expected to make a return from the southwest though, so things should settle down and warm up slowly from the south, although we do need to keep an eye on the potential for a particularly windy spell for the northern half of the UK during the latter part of the week..
