Sun, Warmth, Showers, Pollen, Then Rain
Away from the far northwest of Scotland June so far has been very unsettled for much of the country, so the next few days will provide some respite at least with the sunny spells outweighing the showers and temperatures climbing into the high teens or low twenties.
Starting with the less positive news, there will still be a good handful of showers around, especially through Ireland, Wales, SW England and Eastern Scotland where some could be heavy and even thundery here and there.
Hayfever sufferers may also struggle with a high or very high
pollen count for a good deal of the country.
Aside from those two things though, it's likely to be very pleasant with just the odd scattered shower away from the regions listed above during today with a very similar day for many into tomorrow as well. What will happen tomorrow though is that the showers in western regions will tend to pep up a little, perhaps becoming a little more frequent and widespread.
It won't last beyond Wednesday though as another low pressure system works it's way toward and across the country during Thursday and Friday. This will mean a spell of potentially heavy rain moving up from the southwest, followed by heavy and frequent showers. It'll be windy too with gales possible near to coasts and gusts of 40-50mph likely quite widely.
Looking ahead to the weekend, we keep low pressure close by with another system moving in for Saturday and bringing a further spell of heavy rain with it.
