first class find PP, I might put that in the Learning area, as it would be a shame for it to get lost.

Well worth watching everyone, even though its the old graphics.

The basic idea is still just the same. A team of, in the main on BBC, Met O Meteorological forecasters, all trained over many months at the Met O College, most after gaining degrees in Maths and/or Physics, and in some cases Meteorology at reading Uni.

The 'presenters' that appear, chiefly on ITV, on national output, are given a much much shorter forecast presentation course at the College/BBC/ITV.

The order is just the same, one BBC forecaster handing over to another after an 8 or 12 hour shift. Once they have had time to 'find their feet' so to speak, then before each main broadcast, often linked in with the main computer outputs, he/she will discuss the major features with the Principal Forecaster at Met O HQ(now Exeter), then its up to them to present in on any radio or TV forecast. If they stray from the agreed line then they are in deep trouble.

Hope that helps fill out some information.

If Mike Fish reads this, Mike please feel free to amend anything which is not correct.
